National Coordinating Coalition

The National Coordinating Coalition Inc (NCC), formerly known as the National Coordinating Committee, is a network of NGOs that came together in 1999 under USAID Guyana HIV/AIDS Youth Project with the responsibility for planning, implementing, and administering a national HIV/AIDS response. Currently, the NCC has a membership of twenty (20) NGOs of whom eight (8) were grant recipients under USAID/PEPFAR program and sub-contracted under Advancing Partners and Communities (APC).

The Coalition comprises NGO-led management staff. The NCC membership consist of the following:-

For some time, the NCC has been moving towards ensuring its sustainability and improving its capacity to address critical issues such as HIV/AIDS and other social ills at the forefront of the national agenda. On 6th November 2015 it was registered as a not-for-profit entity under the Companies Act No. 29 of 1991 (Cap 89:01). Among the challenges that exist for the NCC are its ability to augment its resource base, sustain its services, mobilize groups and communities for advocacy campaigns on behalf of key marginalized populations and networks.
