Services
The Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association is a non government organisation which is dedicated to the positive sexual health for all people in Guyana. Through awareness, education, and health services based in a confidential and friendly environment, the Association promotes individual choice, family planning and quality Sexual and Reproductive Health services. The GRPA is also an advocate for sexual and reproductive rights, demanding full human rights for all people to live with dignity and for urgent action to address the denial of sexual and reproductive rights to marginalised groups of persons, such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and inter-sexed persons.
GRPA was founded in 1973 under the innovative leadership of Olga Byrne, and was established as an educational, training and family planning institution. In 1995, the Association embarked on a more holistic approach to Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). In 2014 the GRPA merged with the Family Planning Association of Guyana (FPAG) and striving to fully meet the sexual and reproductive needs of the people of Guyana. Today it is recognized as a leading SRH organization, providing efficient and optimum SRH services and serves to educate, inform, assist and advocate for sexual and reproductive rights.
The GRPA is a Member Association of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). It has Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council and is a recipient of a National Award – the Medal of Service (for service of a consistently high standard).

GRPA Wellness Centre
GRPA Wellness Centre offers a wide range of Sexual and Reproductive and General Health services to its clients to promote affordability and quality health care. The Medical team works to provide the highest quality of healthcare and service to our clients. We also conduct mobile clinics across the country increasing access to SRH services to (vulnerable) communities.
Sexual Health Clinic
This clinic provides services to all who suffer silently with problems related to sex and sexuality – impotence, premature ejaculation, loss of libido (reduced desire), vaginismus (pain during sexual intercourse) and many other issues.
Gynaecology Services
We counsel and provide medical consultations to clients on menstrual problems, vaginal discharge, menopause issues, urine problems, abdominal pain. We also provide Pregnancy Test, Ultrasonography, Comprehensive Abortion Care, Antenatal Care
FERTILITY SERVICES
Pre pregnancy counselling on what you should do (medications/ injections) and on the fertile days provided.We offer services to couples who are suffering from sub-fertility by providing awareness on fertile days, fertility scan including follicular tracking, ovarian stimulation by medication, Seminal Fluid Analysis (SFA), tubal patency tests and Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI).
